Activities On Site

"Many times I get bored when we are on holidays, but not here. It was so fun. The animals made me feel warm inside. Thank you for the eggs and extras. The bunny’s made me smile like crazy……THANK YOU’   Megan

There's plenty to do to keep you happy on site.

Start with a lovely long walk around the bush block in which the cottages sit, or extend yourselves by wondering on to the Otway Forest Park, which our property abuts.

Check out the recreation area with a pool table and dart board in the "pub" and a gas BBQ undercover in the "saddlery" next door.  There’s plenty of room to kick the footy or bowl a few overs.

Take the kids and the dogs up to throw a string line into the dam and try your luck for catching a fabulous yabby dinner. Strings, nets and catch bucket provided. Bring some smelly old meat with you to lure them in.  Yabbies (Australia's fresh water shrimp) are wonderful tossed in some garlic and butter or have them the good old fashioned way with some vinegar - yum!

"This place is superb. It is the best family accommodation that we have come across"

Come and meet  Norman, our very shy but delightful aplaca.  We have a bundle of sheep and sometimes a hand- reared lamb or two, as well as our cute lop-eared bunnies for children to play with.  Bring your children up to help us feed the animals in the mornings.  Our chickens will do their best to keep up the egg supply to ensure you enjoy a taste of their wonderful free range lifestyle - eggs are ‘finders keepers’.

Of course, there's always the cottage verandah for  a lovely quiet sit and sip as required.  Each cottage boasts a bonfire area for those cosy evening wood BBQ's and marshmallow toastings (seasonal restrictions apply).  Why not try your hand at creating some damper?

How could you drag yourself away....

‘We all had a great time feeding Mimi, Hughey, Mama the bunnies and Ratbag, Minnie and Norman. We had lots of fun chasing the chickens, playing pool, playing darts and most of all catching yabbies’      The Smith family

Tennis

Anyone for tennis? Bambra tennis courts are 3 k's down the road and are available to our guests to use free of charge. Coin operated night lights are also available, so bring your tennis gear and have a hit while you are down.
