"Many times I get bored when we are on holidays, but not here. It was so fun. The animals made me feel warm inside. Thank you for the eggs and extras. The bunny’s made me smile like crazy……THANK YOU’   Megan

When did life stop being so gloriously simple?

Start with a lovely long walk or ride your mountain bike around the bush block in which the cottages sit, or extend yourselves by wondering on to the Otway Forest Park, which our property abuts.

Check out the recreation area with a pool table and dart board in the "pub" and a gas BBQ undercover in the "saddlery" next door.  There’s plenty of room to kick the footy or bowl a few overs.

Bring your children up to help us feed our array of critters in the mornings - the bunnies, chickens, sheep and alpacas. There’s always a bunny in need of a cuddle and the chickens' eggs are finders’ keepers!

Remember your Huckleberry Finn days and take the kids yabbying in our huge and well stocked yabby dam.  Just the thing for some muddy fun.  Strings, nets and catch bucket provided. Bring some smelly old meat with you to lure them in.  Yabbies (Australia's fresh water shrimp) are wonderful tossed in some garlic and butter or have them the good old fashioned way with some vinegar - yum!  We've even got some recipies for you in the cottage.

Perfect venue for wandering the bush by day, or take in a torch lit night walk for a tree top search for possums.  Finish off a great day with a camp fire out the front of your cottage and toast the night away with gooey marshmallows!  Each cottage boasts a bonfire area for those cosy evening wood BBQ's and marshmallow toastings (seasonal restrictions apply).  Why not try your hand at creating some damper?

Of course, there's always the cottage verandah for  a lovely quiet sit and sip as you watch the gorgeous King Parrots and Crimson Rosellas enjoy their meal from the bird feeders.

How could you drag yourself away....

"This place is superb. It is the best family accommodation that we have come across"

‘We all had a great time feeding Mimi, Hughey, Mama the bunnies and Ratbag, Minnie and Norman. We had lots of fun chasing the chickens, playing pool, playing darts and most of all catching yabbies’      The Smith family

Tennis

Anyone for tennis? Bambra tennis courts are 3 k's down the road and are available to our guests to use free of charge. Coin operated night lights are also available, so bring your tennis gear and have a hit while you are down.
