Pets Welcome
Your dogs are more than welcome at Countrywide.
Pet friendly? You better believe it! We are very excited to have just been awarded a 5 Paw Rating for Dog Friendly Accommodation, 2008 from Holidaying with Dogs! See below for more information... We know your dog is as much a part of the family as the people type - this is why we go all out to make them feel at home. We provide a cosy bed, with blanket and bowls, home made doggie treats and fabulous rain water to welcome your canine pal on arrival. Your dog will love the open spaces, the bush walks or perhaps a cooling dip in the dam. Bring them to meet Lottie (our beautiful black kelpie-collie cross). Of course your Assistance Animals are most welcome also.
Here at Countrywide Cottages, we pride ourselves on the meticulous cleanliness of our cottages. Please be assured you won't see evidence of previous guests pets in your cottage.
Dogs are allowed in the Otway Forest Park just beyond our back fence too, so let them drag you along for a walk and take home a happily exhausted little mate. There are also lots of doggable beaches within half an hours drive also, for the salt water fiends. Have a horse? Stables and paddock facilities are available at Countrywide. Come and ride the Angahook State Park straight from home. What a delightful holiday for both you and your horse! Please BYO tack. Hay can be made available at minimal cost.
Photo CompetitionWhy not enter our annual photo competition. All you need to do is email us a picture/s of you and/or your pet/s having a wonderful time at Countrywide Cottages to have your name entered in the draw. Photos may be used in future advertising of Countrywide Cottages, particularly on this site...check out some of your competition here! This year, our prize will be a two night accommodation package for up to 6 people to stay in the fabulous Igloo here at Countrywide Cottages! What a bonus. 5 Paws Awards You may have heard of the Holidaying with Dogs 5 Paws Awards. These awards, judged every two years, are given to guests with the most creative entry in the vote for their favourite pet friendly accommodation anywhere in Australia. We seem to attract the cleverest of guests. In 2006, one of our guests was one of the three national winners of the competition. In 2008 we have been lucky enough to find that two of our guests were national winners. We're over the moon!! Why not come along and help us scoop the pool in 2010! Here's a slightly daunted looking Mack Gillies surrounded by his 2008 5 Paws award prize!
